About the Webinar:
The goal of this presentation is that attendees achieve improved performance and job satisfaction going forward through an embracing of leadership concepts. Attendees will understand the role of leadership skills in refocusing their role from tactical "fire-fighting" to more of the strategic tasks that are so essential to becoming an effective product manager.
In this presentation, we will examine the role of the product manager as a cross-functional leader. Specifically, we will look at a number of paradoxes faced by many (if not most) product managers, namely: We will then describe the essential leadership skills required for working within these paradoxes: •Our ability to influence people Additional resources will also be described where participants can further develop these skills. About the Presenter:
As a consultant with MICA, Russel Horwitz draws on 14 years of experience in the high technology sector, and now assists clients with their leadership and organizational development needs. Prior to joining MICA, Russel held a position of Senior Product Manager at Spectrum Signal Processing, where he successfully launched a range of software radio products into the defense and government marketplaces over 3 years. Prior to this role, Russel developed a strong customer perspective though his roles in Technical Services Management, Customer Training and Applications Support.
