![]() Ron Exler, VP and Research Fellow, RFG
About the Webinar:
Industry analysts can exert influence with everyone in the product marketing life cycle, including buyers, the media, and even vendor executives. They also have the potential to be valuable sources of independent market and product insights. However, all analysts are not created equal and their motivations are also not always obvious. As part of outreach activities, product managers need to work more closely with analysts. This Webinar will cover how the analyst community works, why it is important to handle analysts correctly, what analysts want from vendors, how to handle the always-feared briefing, and sources of information about analysts. Ron brings a unique perspective to this discussion in his experience as both a product manager and analyst. About the Presenter:
Ron Exler is Vice President and Research Fellow for Robert Frances Group, an executive advisory service. He has been an industry analyst with RFG for the past 8 years. Before that, he worked in several software companies in analyst relations, marketing, and product management. Ron has used analyst services as a vendor and has also advised many vendors as an analyst. Over the past 20 years, Ron has participated in hundreds of vendor analyst briefings on both sides of the table, and also did dozens of consulting engagements with vendors. E-mail Ron at rexler@rfgonline.com or access Ron's LinkedIn profile at http://www.linkedin.com/in/ronexler.
