This set of PM Anthropology methods is divided into three main categories.
1. Those anthropology methods classified as "In-Bound" are methods supporting product management activities that use anthropology concepts to better understand potential users, requirements, market segments, etc.
2. Those anthropology methods classified as "Internal" are methods supporting product management activities that use anthropology concepts to better function as a product manager within the organizations we find ourselves in: issues of persuasive authority, the product lifecycle as expressed in the orchestrated interaction/facilitation of functional groups, etc.
3. Those anthropology methods classified as "Out-Bound"are methods supporting product management activities that use anthropology concepts in positioning, messaging, beta programs, expert panels, community management, etc.
This community is part of a system of communities, together these communities act as a system-of-systems designed to be the innovation value chain for social innovation.
The mission of these communities is to:
- Improve the practices within their focus area
- Help participants submit documented processes to the IPM Alliance for APM certification
- Mentor and provide role models to the community's participants
- Collect and distribute shared resources and information
- Apply methods towards social innovation
