Summer is rapidly coming to a close where I live but there are still a few solid weekends left to squeeze in some quality R&R (Recreating and Reading) in the great outdoors. One of the books on my MFBFLF (Must Finish Before the First Leaf Falls) list is Daniel Pink's latest book A Whole New Mind. In this new work, Pink details how the world of work is once again changing and those with strong right-brain skills (like empathy, creativity and playfulness) will be best positioned to succeed in the years to come.
In addition to being a compelling and enjoyable read, I am finding this book to be something of a validation that right-brain types like me will soon have our day in the sun. If your brain is wired like mine (and especially if it isn't) I encourage you to pick up this short (250 pp or so) tome and give it a read. Particularly in a lounge chair. On a beach or a patio. With a frosty beverage in hand. Enjoy!
