Assume you have been hired to lead a team of product managers. What do you do first? First, I guess is meet the team and try to gauge their skills. Also, meet the delivery team to gauge the expectations. Second, understand the corporate vision, strategies and existing product offerings. Third, understand the current processes and determine what is working and what is not working. How do you start to make the team more effective? How do you start to help them align their products with the corporate strategies? What would be the first concept you would introduce to the team? Any Directors of Product Management out there willing to share?
