First, yesterday was Earth Day and it reminded me of a previous post about a "Green" requirement type. I think every MRD/PRD should address what your next release is doing about the environment. See this post. What is doubly interesting about that post was that I bundled it with an acknowledgement for Rally and their most recent Jolt award. Read here what Rally did for Earth Day. Just interesting because Rally is green and I suggested the green requirement type in the same post.

Next, funniest line of the year so far, courtesy of Product Beautiful - "Features for features sake are the white sunglasses of Product Management." Classic.

Next, I worked for i2 Technologies and at the time did not necessarily appreciate what I had. Perhaps the strongest CEO I have worked and ever will work for. I was reading this morning about their turn-around and found this paraphaph interesting.

Due to the complex nature of Supply Chain Management systems, i2 realized that it can't just sell customers its software and expect them to extract the real benefits out of it like ERP software products. Therefore, i2 has re-organized its entire company to become a very efficient provider of SCM results. It consults, implements and it even runs the SCM operation for its customers.

Obvious, but I love stuff that makes me think if even just to appreciate the simplicity of the statement. Read the full article here.
