There are so many strategy books out there these days for high-tech. We have all tried to cross the great divide, get ahead, or behind of the horse, jump to the top or, pull the rug out from under someone else. It seems all these books depict the perfect, secret sauce for product planning, and if you only do what is laid out in this paperback, mounds of money and marketshare will come your way!
In Search of Stupidity, 2nd Edition , is definitely not your average suspect. Rick Chapman does a marvelous job of watering down some key mistakes, or stupidity, that far too often we find ourselves stuck in. Its a very real world look at some of tech's more prized darlings, and how stupidity, rather then the perfect strategy, can lead a company to sucess or, complete and dismal failure.
I would highly recommend this as something for anyone in a product planning role. Looking forward to picking up some other books which are recommended in this particular book.
