Last March I posted a note on the blog about "Your Product, you the Champion and the Economy" I still think this is sage advice. The financial services companies control about 20% of tech spending and the VCs are recommending that start-ups trim 20% of their costs. It is going to hurt for awhile. Be prepared.
I saw a note today on Techmeme that "Facebook Will Have A Business Plan In Three Years" Really? Surely they have one. How can they not? Do you?
Lastly, I watched a bunch of the TechCrunch 50 demos and was shocked that the majority of the presenters stumbled over two simple questions... "Why would I use this?" and "How much?"... how can you stand in front of an audience of users, venture capitalists and angels and not be able to speak eloquently about the problem you address for your target market and worse, not have any idea what what the return on investment is.Ouch. Lesson learned. Anyone else watch the demos? How cool was the Sekai Camera from Tonchidot?
