In part, this is based on more modular development and techniques such as test-driven development (TDD). But is bug-free software practical, and what trade-offs does it imply? Product Managers know that absolute standards and mandates often lead to less-than-ideal results in the real world.

In this webinar, Peter Hodgkins will talk about the use of Quality Levels in an Agile organization and why thoughtfully defining different quality levels makes good business sense. Drawing on his direct experience managing large software efforts, he will paint scenarios needing an assortment of quality targets and standards, matching customers and business needs.

Speaker bio:
Peter Hodgkins is Roadmapping Practice Manager at Enthiosys, an agile product management consulting firm, where he helps software companies define and implement faster development processes and more strategic product roadmaps. He has more than 15 years of technology product leadership.
Before joining Enthiosys, Peter was a senior manager at VeriSign, where he led that company's worldwide Engineering Project Management Initiative, pioneered techniques for coordinating agile software development across time zones, and used agile methodologies to reduce development time by 30%.
Previously, he was Chief Technology Officer for Access International (Cambridge, MA) and started his career in the UK with Sporting Index Holdings plc and BP Amoco. Peter earned a Post-Graduate Diploma (Master's
Degree) in Information Technology and a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
