About the Webinar:
Ryma's September 9th webinar was presented by Claire-Juliette Beale and Scott Burleson. Ongoing success in new product development and management doesn't happen by accident. While many great companies have started with visionary inventors, intuitive understanding of market and user needs, and good timing (think of Dupont's timely production of power for the American Independence war, or Edison's electricity!), consistent growth requires different skills, resources and approaches. This webinar focused on the speaker's experiences with getting support from innovation and product management communities and with the resources of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) in particular.

  • Claire...what a great chapter you have! Love how you have been working with other associations too. WOuld you mind listing them again, those that are national organization. Thanks! Ellen Naylor

  • Ellen,
National organizations we most collaborate with are:
IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America)
ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)
    PMI (Project Management Association)
    AMA (American Marketing Association)
    UPA (Usability Professional Association)
    Product Camp (a web-based organization)
We collaborate locally, chapter to chapter. In some cases we have strategic agreements in place where members of one organization benefits from member rates with the other. In others we have a discount system set up. Its a win/win for both organizations and for their members.
    Cheers,
